The Marine Corps Marathon Organization conducts a series of running events, showcasing physical fitness and generating community goodwill in order to promote the high standards and discipline of the Marine Corps. Organized by the men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the Marine Corp Marathon (MCM) is the largest marathon in the world that doesn’t offer prize money, instead celebrating the honor, courage, and commitment of all finishers.
This year Monex is assembling a team of runners and making a donation to support the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. The MCSF the largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children.
Hosted on the same day as the Marine Corps Marathon, Sunday, October 27, the MCM10K start line is located in front of the National Gallery of Art West Building on Madison Drive between 4th and 7th Streets NW. Runners line up facing the US Capitol and follow the MCM course around the National Mall to the 14th Street Bridge into Crystal City. After arriving at the Pentagon, MCM10K runners will complete their 6.2 miles parallel to the MCM, finishing at the Marine Corps War Memorial.
