The United States Dollar is trading flat this morning against most major and minor currencies in anticipation of the Christmas holiday tomorrow.
Overview
Many major currencies are also taking holidays on December 26th, leaving little room left in the market for volatility. Of notable news overnight: the Bank of Japan has once again begun jawboning on behalf of its ailing currency, rolling out further warnings for traders against speculative FX movements. The Reserve Bank of Australia also released minutes from its previous meeting, showing the central bank is more confident that inflation is moving ‘sustainably toward target.’ Currency movements across the board, however, are quite muted.
Monex USA will be closing at 3:30PM today in observance of the Christmas holiday. Wishing you and yours very happy holidays!
